After a hard fought 3-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night, Penguins’ Dan Bylsma was the fastest coach in NHL history to reach 200 wins. In 316 games, Bylsma has a record of 200-91-25 in coaching the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Although, this is not much of a surprise as you look at his accomplishments since beginning his time with the club on February 15, 2009.
In his career as a head coach, Bylsma has achieved the following: the Jack Adams Award, five consecutive playoff berths, the Atlantic Division title, most playoff wins as head coach in team history, and the Stanley Cup (just to mention a few). Of course, he has the opportunity for win 201 tonight as the Penguins face-off against the Buffalo Sabres in Pittsburgh.
