NHLPA claims win / lose with Quebec Labor Board

The NHLPA was denied their request for a temporary injunction to stop the NHL lockout while hearings take place. The board also decided that more hearings must take place to make a decision if the NHL lockout is illegal.
16 members of the Montreal Canadiens and the NHLPA filed to declare the lockout illegal in Quebec, because the NHLPA is not certified as a union in the province, and believes that it’s members cannot be locked out under Quebec labor law.
No date has been set for further hearing.
